This is the 3 sisters.

The 3 sisters was apart of the 7 sisters. In Karajarri culture/dreaming, there were 3 of the 7 sisters that travelled from the desert and came onto Karajarri country. They came and planted themselves on the coast line on Karajarri country giving my people sea food, land animals and many more. There are lot places where we still go to fish and hunt to provide food for our families. A place where we visit and pass down the story to our young ones, this story has been told by our elders and it’s important to continue sharing our knowledge to keep our culture alive.

The design inside the hawk represents the circle of life and whatever journey the hawk (player) has been through in life.

Finding connection with country, people and culture - the green line represents the journey of the player/hawk, the yellow circle represents the places/country, the white dots and line connect them all together.

  • Large Teal green circle represents the Forrest and the river. Light, dots to dark dots is showing the small and large Forrest trees standing together and keeping country connected together.

  • Large light green circle represents the living fresh water, water hole, billabong and soak as well as all things living in the area - light to dark green dots is showing the shallow to deep water.

  • Large Dark Green circle represents the life of the water that’s been around for many decades. Also showing light to dark dots representing the age of the water being around for our people.

  • 3 small gold circles represents the 3 sisters as stated above, why it’s in line as they are telling stories in the sand about them (the 3 sisters) and their journey.

  • Smaller green circles with black dots represents the hawks nest (home) - green circle is the base of the home with black dots representing the tracks it made to call home.

  • Design in boomerang represents our ancestors that have passed down knowledge from generation to generation. Keeping our culture alive through playing with them and teaching the next generation to carry on.

  • Large yellow line is connecting everyone as well as the 6 circles together creating the six Seasons that all indigenous people use to tell our seasons.

  • Large black line with yellow dots are the spirit of the 3 sisters still roaming around and making sure country is well looking after.

  • The green and yellow dots around all circles are the people in the present moment embracing everything we have and telling the story to the next generation.

  • Yellow lines connecting all the hawks nest (home) to show that everyone is family and welcomed even if they’re from a different place/country.

Please keep in mind that I am not from any of the Noongar Regions, I have lived there for many years and I respect all, past, Present and emerging.

I have been really fortunate to take this opportunity and show everyone my cultural knowledge from my country Bidyadanga WA in which we give opportunity for every culture to be shared. I have also designed the 2023 football guernsey for Queens Park Football Club and also my biggest achievement was to design an indigenous shirt for the 2024 Richmond Football Club Cheersquad shirts which you can find on their website.
