The Hawks Netball Club
The South-West Netball (Football) competition began in 2007, with Hawks Netball fielding two teams. This league has proven extremely popular in the South-West, and has seen the return of many players to the sport who are keen to compete at the highest level available within our region.
This competition also provides a pathway for our junior players who, before its inception, had no alternatives after leaving the competition run by the Margaret River Netball Association.

To date, our greatest on court success was in 2011 when the A Reserve team went through the season undefeated, then capped off the season with a convincing win over HBL in the grand final. The support from the Footy Club and players was as momentous as the win, and gave us a memory that will stay with those players for a long time to come.
We were elevated to the Open division in 2012, made the finals but unfortunately were unable to replicate the previous year results. Having said that, it was an amazing feat to have been so successful in our first season of Open competition and was testament to the determination, commitment and character of the players.
The last few seasons we have been very fortunate to have also been able to field a team in the 17 and Under competition. Netball/Football league is a natural pathway for the local junior association players who have no real senior competition to flow into. It is a solid platform for the junior players to develop their skills, to test their commitment and to continue their involvement in netball.
Welcome to everyone involved in the coming season for the South West Netball Football League. We sincerely hope that you will enjoy your experience with our club this year and are very excited with the prospect of having three teams representing the Hawks on court. It’s great to see some new blood in our group and we hope that at this point you have been made to feel welcome.
